One of Toco\u2019s best kept nature secrets is the place referred to as La For\u00eat Beach or Forest Point. This magical isle situated two km south of the Galera Point Lighthouse consists of two pristine beaches, each with different attractions.Forest Point is one of Toco\u2019s most secluded beaches and is a must visit for ocean lovers everywhere.
Here the hike begins on an open road on a relatively flat terrain all the way to the bay.
Once arrived , the crisp ocean breeze that batter upon your skin. Upon entry into the beach there is a short drop and a few small rock that boarder the shoreline so be careful on entry. If venturing to the other side you are offer fantastic views of the entire bay and the surrounding area.The seascape along this rocky coastline is part of the larger L\u2019anse Contre Bay. As with many of the North Coast beaches, they all have French names. The historic Cedula de Population of 1783 invited these foreign farmers to migrate to Trinidad and develop the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The landscape at FOREST POINT BEACH Point is divided by a rocky peninsula that is 100 metres long and 25 metres high. This headland is a lovely spot to sit, relax and recharge.The picturesque background of the Toco Forest Reserve with its lush green slopes adds to the breathtaking scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beach on the northern side of the headland has calm and soothing waters. The bay sheltered by a barrier reef has jacuzzi- like salt ponds that provide safe conditions for non-swimmers and children. The beach on the southern side of the headland has gentle waves for swimming but is not as calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walk to Forest Point will take approximately 30mins.After the hike we adventure to the TOCO LIGHTHOUSE for some breathtaking views.
Rating: 3 easy (30-35 mins one way) along a mostly flat gravel trail. Suitable for kids 5 and up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A hat and\/or umbrella is recommended for protection from the sun as the trail is mostly exposed to the sun and offers little to no shade. Also, walk with a minimum one litre of water to keep hydrated in the heat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you opt to drive your personal vehicle, the cost of the hike only is $80 . The cost of the hike plus transport is $200 per person & advance payment for this option is necessary.
